I
grew up as a dependant in an Air Force military family. Graduated
high school from, Ben Eielson High School, Fairbanks, Alaska 1976.
Worked in the construction and oil industries in the
state of Alaska till moving to Sarasota on November of 1992.
When moving to Florida in 1992, I founded and operated a
Home Repair and Renovation Co. (LaBarre Enterprises Inc.), Sarasota, FL
I was introduced to the home inspection industry in
early 1993 when a notice came in the mail from Hondros Career Center
(Burt Rogers School of Real Estate), regarding a new class they were
about to offer for home inspectors. I enrolled in the class and
became aware of ASHI, immediately joining as a candidate.
I started in the home inspection profession in early 1994
working under the auspicious of other certified members.
Approximately one and a half years later, I had the necessary
credentials to become an ASHI Certified Inspector, subsequently
becoming an officer in the local chapter. I continued to work for
other companies till breaking off and starting LaBarre Home
Evaluations in 1997.
My goal is to make a difference in the home inspection
profession by setting an extremely high standard for my peers to
meet. This is evident by my high satisfaction rate of my customers
